Your Role

As a Postilion Implementation Engineer, you'll be at the core of making secure digital transactions run smoothly and reliably. From keeping systems running at peak performance to rolling out cutting-edge updates and supporting major releases — you’re the backbone of fintech in motion.

What You’ll Do

System Configuration, Monitoring and Support Management:

  • Comprehensive maintenance of the Postilion EFT systems, ensuring maximum availability & uptime as per agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Configuration of system parameters & implementing system changes as per business change control procedures.
  • Supporting the operation and monitoring of the production systems.
  • EFT Software installations and configurations.
  • Defining the operational routines applicable for the systems deployed to deliver the service and authorising any changes to them.
  • Allocating and assigning fault calls to technical support staff/ or 3rd parties and prioritising, expediting and escalating resolution.
  • Defining service performance metrics and monitoring and reporting of them to management and customers as appropriate.
  • Continuously performing system maintenance and testing, while ensuring optimal functionality of the database through effective management.

System Release and Update Testing:

  • Testing any new system releases and /or updates from Development or Service Providers.

Security Compliance:

  • Ensure EFT Corporation systems are fully compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI) and all re-occurring security tasks (e.g. encryption key changes) are performed in a controlled manner.

Cross Functional Support:

  • Addressing and resolving customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Provide technical support to the Client Services & Operational teams around EFT issues.
  • Assist Operational teams in preparing environment for maintenance procedures (OS patching) by re-routing transaction traffic to backup or secondary systems.
  • Specifying new system requirements to deliver new services.
  • Assisting with the implementation of both internal and customer-driven projects.
  • Performing EFT application testing for new internal/external requirements.

Capacity Planning:

  • Undertaking capacity planning exercises to ensure the systems can deliver the contracted services.

Quality Assurance:

  • Working with Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure appropriate test strategies are in place for all Postilion changes.

Documentation Management:

  • Ensuring all system documentation, relating to the EFT environment (Operational, technical & BC\DR) is accurate, updated and freely available.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in systems administration or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with SQL, real-time systems, and 24/7 environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach.
  • Experience with tools like Postilion, Jira, or other monitoring platforms is a plus.
  • Bonus if you're certified in SQL, Project Management, or love diving into infrastructure challenges.
